Although the majority of organizations have anti-virus software installed, more than half reported being affected by a virus attack over the previous 12 months. This points out the importance of using more than one anti-virus engine to filter all inbound email. GFI MailSecurityTM uses up to five (5) anti-virus (AV) engines (Update Component) to ensure that inbound email is clean of viruses and any other exploits or malware. No single AV vendor is the best and can stop all viruses, so multiple AV engines guarantee a higher detection rate and the fastest possible response to new viruses.
